COOPER DISCOVERER AT/3 TIRE REVIEW (SHOULD I BUY THEM?)

HELLO RIM LION UNIVERSE, SO I TODAY I DID A OFF CAR REVIEW OF THESE COOPER DISCOVERER AT/3/ THE TIRE SIZE WAS P265/70/17 SO THIS TIRES ARE CONSIDERED AN ALL TERRAIN TIRE, WHICH MEANS THEY ARE GOOD FOR MUD, SNOW, DIRT WET & DRY. IT IS M+S RATED. THESE ARE AS ROUGH & AGGRESSIVE OF A TIRE YOU CAN HAVE WITH OUT A LIFT. THESE TIRES FOR BEING AN A/T ARE PRICED VERY WELL. NOW COOPER IS MADE IN THE USA & DOES HAVE OVERSEAS FACTORIES WHICH DO MAKE THIS & OTHER PRIVATE BRANDS. THIS HAS A GREAT TREAD PATTERN AND NOT TO KNOBBY & NOISEY BUT WILL HUMM SLIGHT ON THE HIGHWAY, WATCH, LIKE VIEW & FEEL FREE TO COMMENT!

  1. I have these on my work truck. 91,000 miles on the tires and still not to the wear bars. Just ordered a new set today and having those installed tomorrow afternoon. They have a little road noise but at 91,000, I can't complain any. Great tires for the price.

  2. I have these tires on my 2012 Ram 1500 4X4, incredible tire!! They made fuel economy a little better, since they are a little lighter then what came with the truck. No road noise, and I've driven in rain, snow, sleet, mud, gravel.. you name it! I actually got to thinking, if they made this tire in a winter tire version, it would, hands down, be the most amazing tire. And they now do make this in a winter tire (atw) I'm putting them on my new truck, for sure!

  3. put a set on 3 months ago but mine are at/3 sport and the sidewall is really soft and you can see the car flex about and I have had 5 puntures otherwise they are ok but I don't think I would buy again

  4. I was looking at these for my Ford Expedition. That exact size. Only "off roading" I do is on the beach for fishing. So I'm aired down to 15psi. I'm worried about the side walls since they 2 ply. There are some rocks towards the inlet. Anyone have experience with these in sand?

  5. I live in Northern Minnesota….by far and away THE best snow/ice covered road tire I have ever run…I have them on my truck and my company truck….had them on a 2013 F-250 crew cab with a tool box(loaded 5-600lbs) and a 100 gallon fuel tank(tank pump fuel 700+ pounds).., plus the box loaded with parts for drills(at least another 1000lbs.) and2 to 4 people Had the 285/70-17 tires and made 55000 miles with no rotation had little less then 1/2 tread when I got rid(got a new company truck)…just got a 2017 F-250 and I am installing 295/70r17's on Monday….great tire!!

  6. i've got wildcountry XTX Sport on my work truck, they are 10 ply LT and winter rated. from what i read they are made by cooper… and tread very similar. wonder why the AT3 isn't winter rated. I can't find the XTX around here anywhere.

  7. If you want a good tire this the one for you we run these on are work.trks they only tire will hold up.they are 55,000 mile tire rotate and balance every 8,000 to ten thousand and they will last I always got 55 thousand out of them dot makes take of when they get down to 3.32

  8. I've had 4 sets of these on various trucks and 2 suv. I get these in a 4 ply for the smaller siv, but I put 6ply on my trucks. They are good for the 55,000 miles stated in the warranty and if you keep tires rotated and your vehicle aligned maybe better than that. Great for the money. Also Cooper usually has a $70.00 rebate in the form of a visa card mailed to you.

  9. I have these on my 2008 dodge ram 3500 I pull a gooseneck trailer total weight is just over 18000lbs and it is the best tire as far as everything I want and need in a tire! looks great, no road noise and the cost is way more than fair from what I get out of my coopers, I'm comparing Nitto tires for $1700 installed to cooper $1325 installed. longest lasting tire that I have ever had and hey as they wear down passed half tread the ride quality does not change, I'm sticking with these tire for the next long while!

  10. I installed a set on my 2016 Ram 2500 and they were great until you hit 65 MPH, then they shook the truck. I found this out on a trip from NC to GA and when I returned, I had them removed and replaced with Toyo A/T II which was a much better ride.

  11. What!!!!! I build tires at cooper tire in arkansas…Cooper has 4 plants worldwide and only 1 plant in is china. The rest are in USA. The china plant builds real small car tires. The plant i work in builds all bigger truck tires like the one your looking at.

  12. That tire is still made in the us all of the at3's, stt pro's and Mickey Thomson tires are made in Texarkana. they just launched a new line of At3's you can get them in three different flavors now.

  13. These tires were theinly ones that held up on are work trks very few problems with them and are a 55 tjousand mile tire we work out a tire shop delivery tires and aot of weight on trucks wed jave to take off 3 thityseconds left on yores because of dot rules but still manage 54 thousand miles out of the roatate and ballance every eight tjousand miles alpt better than the toyos

  14. I've had these tires on a 2012 jeep grand cherokee for the past three years with about 25,000 miles on them and got rid of them because of all the road noise, at first noise wasn't to bad but as they wore down some it got really bad, and handling was bad also, got cooper evolution H.T. and very quiet and handling is improved. Maybe on a pickup the AT 3 might be alright with the noise because they weight more. I have Goodyear trail runners on my f-150 crew cab and they are smooth and quiet.

  15. Would these be recommended for a 2003 AWD Escalade? I have some worn Cooper discoverers that look to be more comparable to the Cooper Evolutions. I like the look of the tire but the truck never leaves the pavement. Winters can be brutal in Chicago though.

  16. These are great tires in all aspects EXCEPT ONE!! If you run in gravel, watch out, these buggers pick up rocks like crazy and they do not eject them. So, if you buy these and run in rocky areas be sure to take along some needle nose pliers. You'll be pickin for a week.

  17. I ran Toyo M/T got 70k on Tundra and went to R/T 33×12.50×20. I have a Chevy 2500HD 6.6 and run these tires on stock 18's these honestly are half the cost of a Toyo and they handle a lot better.
